Initial Mail Test Completed - Results are Mixed
Given that the Jam is to have cards actually go through the mail, I did just that to two guinea-pigs. The results were mixed. While the cards made their way to the respective destinations, there was some postal service added printing done on the back of the cards. I have two solutions for this.
The first method means an extra cost to the person printing these out. What I have done is found a removable label by Avery, 5436,that is 1 inch by 3 inches. This can be placed on the top and bottom portions of the text on the left hand side of the back. This will allow the postal service to still print what they need, and the recipient just needs to peel them off to reveal the unblemished game text. THIS WILL NEED TO BE DONE FOR MARBLE IRON AT THIS POINT IN TIME. I don't fully have a solution for Marble Iron just yet, but I do have an idea.
The second method is to use the new uploads that do not include the sample character sheet on the front of the postcard. By removing the character sheet, it gave enough room on the front to move some of the text and give the needed white space for the postal service to print on. This is the preferred method to use since it will mean nothing extra to be done to the postcards.
Thanks for bearing with me through this learning experience!
